About

Kayden Michael Strauss is a mixed-media lens-based artist.

They have found a sense of community within their work, focusing on New York City’s local drag scene and the surrounding queer communities. Every image is influenced by identity, exploring and memorializing what makes the subject who they are. When working, Kayden’s methods are executed deliberately, focusing on agency and consent. Using texture, color, and phrasing they portray an image of a feeling.

Kayden has worked with companies such as Elle Mexico, W Magazine, Paper Magazine, Blanc Magazine, DKNY, Ralph Lauren, Saks 5th Avenue, Kenneth Cole, Fujifilm, and Fluide Beauty. They have also worked with personalities such as Ru Pauls Drag Race’s Sasha Velour and Dawn, as well as actors Lachlan Watson, and Mason Alexander Park. Kayden has a fine arts background, having been showcased in several galleries across New York, and was featured at the 2019 Pingyao International Photo Festival in Pingyao, China.

Kayden is currently based in New York City.
